Fire Pit

Don’t remember when this project was done, but I wanted a nice fire-pit that I could cook over. The pit is 5′ in diameter and has cooked many a meals. I also built some simple but matching flagstone benches. The metal lift was added to raise and lower the main round grill. The center of… Continue reading Fire Pit

Outdoor Kitchen

I built this kitchen in late 2002 and early 2003, after moving in. It was project number one. Over the years, some things have changed, new things added and some items lost. The good news is that everything is in great working order and is used regularly. The kitchen has the following; a 5 burner… Continue reading Outdoor Kitchen

Back Yard

The backyard is home to many amenities and a has been host to many events. We start off with a kitchen. Then there is a large 5′ fire-pit with a moveable grill. There is a large flagstone waterfall. I’ve added a large wood fired smoker and pizza oven. The patio is equipped with sound and… Continue reading Back Yard

Back Yard Cat Enclosure

After realizing that I had a potential problem of Jack getting outside, I went straight to work, R&D’ing a means of securing the back yard. I was welding brackets of all kinds and testing different methods. None of which would have been easy, would be very noticeable and would require a large investment – steel… Continue reading Back Yard Cat Enclosure

Angled Drawer

The architects of this cabinet design should have been fired. This pullout drawer was absolutely useless with a standard refrigerator in place. The cabinet door would not open enough to allow the drawer to slide out.To resolve this, I built and angled drawer and slide. Now, you can properly pull the drawer out for access.

Range

The range is an electric GE Profile Dual Oven, 6 element ceramic top model. It is very clean, inside and out. I built an easy to remove and clean upper shelf, as this model has a curved control panel. Not very practical in my book. There are 4 burners, a heating spot (back center) and… Continue reading Range

Coffee Bar

I built this Coffee Bar to take advantage of the odd and almost unsaleable space. This design allows for great counter space and plenty of additional storage. The open and curved shelves are great for cookbooks and bottles of your favorite spirits. It is a ‘bar’. The built in water spout provides RO Water. No… Continue reading Coffee Bar

Cat Feeder

This enclosed pet area provides (in garage) an easy means of feeding the pet, while keeping the food indoors but not outside (ants and bugs). The enclosure keeps them from getting outside the house even when the garage is open.Access to this enclosure is through a cat door which leads to the adjoining bedroom (Cat… Continue reading Cat Feeder

Living Room

The open area is about 24’x13′. The extra room (behind sofa) we transformed into the bar area. In the corner is the beehive fireplace with the front door in the opposite corner. The dining room/kitchen is on the opposite end. There is a wall fountain that keeps a little moisture in the air. The fountain… Continue reading Living Room
